What we covered:
- What the updates were for this most recent testnet
- Voting power is now more distributed across the validator set
- Gas and Fees has been implemented - the main difference here is that there is the addition of a few flags that will make it so that txs are paid for, and while the amount is very low, it prevents tx spam to have this in place.
- Excitingly - gas can be paid out in any transferred token but will be in a NAM exchange rate.
- We want people using the gas and fees flags because this will preface us probably removing the faucet in the next testnet. (Importantly, this means that you should be ready for the next testnet to have tokens sent your way as a genesis validator if you aren't already one)
- Get into the habit of funding the accounts you use from a funded balance, and share with your neighbors!
- There have been some issues we are aware of between linux vs mac machines for running IBC integrations, we are working on a solution at this time.
- Getting the SDK up and running is being deprioritized in favor of making sure that what the SDK uses is working first.
Otherwise:
- We do apologize for not being able to open up Adaman - this is something we want to do in the future, but this testnet did not allow for it! There will be an update here soon.
- Here is the guide to all the tx types that we'd like for you all to test, preferably all of them multiple times:
- We will also want to test incident response in the future, meaning that we want people to be ready for patches/urgent upgrades. We will want a gameplan for when this happens, but this will be on a subsequent testnet.
Thank you all for your participation in the last few weeks of testnet! We appreciate your contribution.
As a quick note for the next testnet, we will be wanting to test out the grPGF function - meaning that we will want to test receipt by a select few as recipients of NAM grants on the testnet at launch.
